Since when does Illinois take AWAY rights?
CALL the Senate Judiciary Committee NOW.
On March 2nd at 3pm, the Illinois Senate Judiciary Committee will vote on a bill that would promote religious discrimination, authored by Sen. Bill Brady. Do NOT let Senate Bill 3447 pass the Senate judiciary committee vote.
Why? Senate Bill 3447 amends the Illinois Human Rights Act and would open the door to employment discrimination by religious institutions, and any association or non-profit group operated in conjunction with them. This would include employees in “non-religious” positions. Illinois would essentially be taking a step BACK by allowing religious discrimination.
Stop religious discrimination and CALL the committee! Take a stand against discrimination, and oppose the legislation that would prevent hard-working Illinois citizens from even being considered for a job.
